to translation issues, including issues of equivalence, adequacy, and
cultural adaptation of texts. Current trends in the development of translation practice, driven by digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, are analyzed. The role of the translator as a mediator of cultures and an active participant in intercultural
communication is substantiated.
